About Chef Chaza Smith

Chef Chaza Smith opened her first restaurant in Hollywood, California (Bella Julia Cafe and Bakery) after apprenticing in kitchens in Southern Italy to complete her classical-French training at Le Cordon Bleu.  A passionate foodie with over 20 years of professional boutique and high-volume-from-scratch cooking, today Chef Smith focusses exclusively on Plant-Based cuisines.  Fluent in at least four languages, including English, Spanish, Italian and Arabic, only her desire to learn rivals her expertise of cuisines from cultures around the world.  Smith never stops cooking nor experimenting, always hunting for new ingredients, flavors and techniques.

Chef Smith lives with her daughter and husband in Venice, California.
